There is a Cat Genome Project like the Human Genome Project.

Over 800 new to science species have been identified in the Smoky Mountains.

The Smoky Mountains have 31 species of salamanders, making it the salamander capital of the world.

We have 20 species of fireflies when Europe has only 1.

Together, we will explore the exciting world of science. This year, we will embark on a journey through Biology, Geology, Physics and Chemistry. Our main objective is to learn about our world and how it relates to us! Science is a part of everything. It's time to get "mad".
